About the Parish
Sacred
Heart Church, serving Mount Holly and surrounding areas, is a
welcoming community that is culturally, ethnically and economically
diverse with strong historical roots.
The Parish’s people draw strength from their diversity with
a shared sense of purpose and tradition, as witnessed by the
flourishing Filipino community, military families, and others.
We enthusiastically use our God given gifts as a response to
the ever evolving invitation of the Spirit by serving others in our
church and neighborhood.
We
are a faith based community dedicated to living the Gospel message
and passing on this tradition through our school, religious
education program and adult faith formation.
We are committed to the full spectrum of our area’s needs
such as programs responding to all ages in addition to our hospital,
homebound, prison ministries, our ministry to the poor through the
Society of St. Vincent DePaul and our participation in local
ecumenical activities.
Our
church offers spiritual nourishment to all through the gifts of the
Holy Spirit by sharing the sacraments, fellowship, education and
service. Our parish recognizes the Eucharist as the source and summit
of our lives leading us to both service and prayer.
